We installed a beautiful piece of art yesterday in a local Dallas client's home. Reproduction prints of antique international stamps, float mounted on linen and framed in an antiqued silver frame. It turned out to be the perfect scale, with just enough color.

More on the incredible Napa Valley...

A highlight of our vacation was celebrating a great friend's birthday with dinner at Redd.  The rumor around Yountville is that this is the "it" restaurant, this is where all of the local chefs chose to dine.  And we could see why.  Not only is the food amazing, but the atmosphere at Redd reminded me of the Cafe Modern at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.  Very clean, simplistic designs create an emphasis on the FOOD.  And it didn't disappoint.  This restaurant is a MUST when visiting the Napa Valley.

August has been a month of travel, and it has been AMAZING.  First, a trip to Chicago to celebrate a birthday.  Then, a work visit to Crested Butte for the magazine photo shoot (more on both of those trips later...).  Most recently, a first-time visit to the wine country!

I was blown away by the quaint and beautiful Napa Valley town of Yountville.  Hotel Yountville was unbelievably charming and just underwent a design renovation that made it hard to leave & easy to stay.
