we have a winner!

The Maison Tufted Ottoman

It was love at first sight. This Maison Tufted Ottoman stole my design-crazed heart. Perfect for the living room that wants to kick back and relax with style. Over-sized with plenty of space for a large tray (think magazines, candles, remotes, etc.). Framed in beautiful limed grey oak and upholstered in aubergine linen, it creates a sophisticated centerpiece for any space, as well as being completely functional, comfortable, and child-friendly.

Maison Tufted Ottoman, $1190

that vintage vibe

What would the holiday season be without the usual craziness that defines it? This season was especially busy for Jessica McIntyre Interiors, but with great pleasure. My best friend (est. 1985), Paige Mycoskie, enlisted my services to help her design the flagship headquarters for Aviator Nation, her vintage 70s-inspired clothing line. It was quite an experience to see the old red gallery space on Abbot Kinney in Venice, California come to life as the new home of Aviator Nation.

The vintage vibe was created by staying true to Paige's vision of a seventies surf and sun destination. Authentic California living was the design inspiration from start to finish. We spent days rummaging Los Angeles thrift stores for golden eggs like the surf-themed pin-ball machine from 1973, the back-lit check out counter, and the reclaimed wood used throughout the boutique. The result was a space that reflected the color, comfort, and vintage feel of the Aviator Nation clothing line. Mission accomplished.
