fabulous bohemia from design legacy

One of my favorite all-time vendors is Design Legacy.  They pride themselves in pieces that are unique and unlike all of the BLAH that is out there right now, flooding our home catalogs.

SPICE IT UP!

Here is a sampling from the bohemian collection...

today... TULIPS!

For a quick pick-me-up, I grabbed some simple, fresh flowers for my home. A little something that makes me happy ;)

Here is a photo of today's arrangement. No-Fuss tulips (one of my favorite flowers... along with peonies and ranunculus) dropped simply in one of my antique Hunan ginger jars. Love the way these stems carelessly flop out of the vessel.

nurseries galore!

We have been crazy busy designing baby nurseries for clients and now it is time for the MOST FUN PROJECT EVER.... my own baby nursery!  Thought I would share my very first purchase, as today my husband and I found out that we will be welcoming a baby boy this April.  Couldn't be MORE excited.  I have had my eyes on this Elizabeth Lucas Giraffe art for months and today treated Baby McIntyre to his first piece of nursery decor...

This vendor creates beautiful art, pillows, and textiles with a fresh look and soothing color palette.  Meet the Elizabeth Lucas Company.  Here are some examples of other pieces we love.

long-distance design

client in North Carolina with a "blah" dining room...
needed some JMI long-distance LOVE

NEW & IMPROVED!
new white cowhide with silver zebra pattern adds a POP under the dining table
drapes with chocolate/ivory greek key trim frames the windows & great view
white clam shell creates contrast on dining table and a display for corks or holiday cards
new chandelier adds height to the space and updates the "model home" look
new buffet, accessories, and large-scale art forms a great focal point on the large wall
