retail treat | DVF for bloomingdale's

We are serious fans of Diane Von Furstenberg (can you say wrap dress?!?!).  And now the house of DVF has come out with a new funky and colorful line of home goods for Bloomingdale's.  Brides rejoice!  What an awesome addition to your registry list... we can't get enough of the colorful bedding, chargers, plates, egg-shell bowls, and what an awesome horn wine bottle holder.  Check out the goods...

hit the books!

One of my favorite spots in Round Top is La Bahia.  It is the most darling little farmhouse that is packed FULL of antique silver, collectable dinnerware, vintage linen, and antique books.  It didn't take me long to spot (GASP!) some of my very favorite books that one day I hope can grace my library.... works by the Bronte sisters and Jane Austen.  Not much beats the uber-romantic stories of Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, and Pride and Prejudice (I love me some Mr. Darcy!!!), especially when they are enveloped in such beautiful antique bindings.

The white parchment bindings also caught my eye.  Intricate gold leaf art deco designs create a show-stopping feature that would be an amazing addition to any library.

spotted!

JMI's Wishlist 2010 item #2, Maxim 7-Light Beaded Chandelier, was recently spotted in a design mag and looks fabulous in this chic breakfast room.

The image comes from latest issue of Veranda magazine.  Designed by Michelle Workman, this serene Los Angeles home marries feminine and masculine qualities, resulting in a subtle glamour that is both classic and fresh.
